Studies in Acts

Most of these studies were delivered between Sept 1991 and August 1993 at Washtenaw Independent Bible Church, Ann Arbor, MI. The book is structured around the geographical progression outlined in 1:8, with separate sections describing the growth of the church in Jerusalem, in Judaea and Samaria, and on to the uttermost parts of the earth. Each of the first two sections ends with a description of how the church prepared for the next stage of expansion.

A section at the end contains other messages on specific texts in Acts.

Notes on the Notes:

• These notes are much more terse than those for books studied later (e.g., Genesis, John, Isaiah), but they do summarize the main points of structure and interpretation, and the audio files provide additional explanation.
• The boundaries of the notes files do not always coincide with the audio files.
• The "Analysis" at the end of some notes files is a structured analysis of the (transliterated) Greek text, drawing heavily on the paragraph analysis methods of Robert Longacre.
