I mentioned this to my wife one day, and she said, &#8220;You should write them down for people.&#8221; So I did.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>You can find the list <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cyber-chapel.org\/BibleStudyPrinciples.pdf\">here<\/a>. It outlines six basic principles. I&#8217;ll try to tag each post with a key word from the principle that it exemplifies (indicated in <strong>bold <\/strong>in the first column of the list, repeated as the summary list below).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Understand the <strong>nature <\/strong>of the Bible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stick <\/strong>to the Bible.<\/li>\n<li>Watch your <strong>words<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diagram <\/strong>sentences and paragraphs.<\/li>\n<li>Pay attention to <strong>repetition<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Find the Bible&#8217;s <strong>comments <\/strong>on itself.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the course of thirty years of Bible exposition, I find that a fairly limited set of tools and techniques consistently yields good insights.
